Your child’s teenage years are the most common time to undergo Orthodontic treatment. It is generally when their adult teeth are coming through and major facial structure changes are occurring, making it the best time to start Orthodontic treatment. We do recommend treatment at this point in time as it is ideal to evaluate any misalignment or bite problems and start the corrective procedure earlier on.

Clinically a teenager is ready for Orthodontic treatment when all adult teeth have grown through, this generally occurs in ages between 12-14 years. Orthodontics treatment duration can be from 9-36 months, depending on individual orthodontic correction requirements and the complexity of treatment. In some cases teenagers may need addition appliances as well and wearing braces to align their teeth and correct their bite.
